Job Title: Senior Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN/RNLD)

Shift Pattern: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £37,999 – £40,455 per annum

Role Overview:
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct personal care and interventions to patients/service users, co-ordinating care delivered by colleagues. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive nursing assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating person-centred care for both physical and mental health needs. This role also involves supervising junior staff and students, collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment with accurate record-keeping.

Services Provided:
Our client offer a diverse range of inpatient services, including acute and psychiatric intensive care for adults, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), a specialist adult eating disorder service, and a private addictions service. Their seven wards are staffed by multi-disciplinary teams who deliver personalised treatment programmes and have established an excellent reputation for the highest standards of care.
Ward Overview:
The ward is a 14-bed male acute unit, supporting individuals with a range of mental illnesses, from depression to acute mental disorders.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Registered Mental Health/Learning Disability Nurse with 6-12 months post-registration experience and active NMC Registration.
- Knowledge of NMC standards, guidelines, and professional practices.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Demonstrated commitment to change, improvement, and quality.
- Ability to develop and implement innovative approaches to practice.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- IT literacy.
Experience Required:
A minimum of 6-12 months post-registration experience in Mental Health/Learning Disability Nursing with evidence of continued professional development in the relevant field.
