Duty Manager
Shift work ( between 6am to 9pm)
37 hours per week
Manchester City Centre
£13.50 per hour
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking Facilities team in one of Manchester’s most prestigious universities they’re on a journey to become the best Facilities department in the sector.
About the role:
The Duty Manager will provide line management and guidance to the Domestic Assistant and Facilities Operatives within the University, developing a team-working environment ensuring compliance with service level agreements and statutory compliance.
You will have knowledge and experience of managing Domestic Teams to deliver effective customer focused solutions and provide a high level of customer service.
You will plan and deliver high standards of service to ensure the smooth running of the university properties with the ability to drive service standards to enhance customer satisfaction.
You will also be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day activities of the Domestic and maintenance teams are carried out in accordance with processes and procedures.
About You:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated Duty Manager to support and guide the Domestic and Facilities teams in delivery of effective customer focused solutions, which provide high levels of customer service.
You will have a good operational knowledge of cleaning and maintenance operations within commercial properties.
You will have a sound knowledge of relevant H&S activities associated with operations within commercial properties.
You will have supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment, working with teams delivering cleaning and maintenance services.
The role requires you to be flexible in your approach on a day to day basis, in order to deal with all operational requirements and support the team, as well as working across operational boundaries as reasonably requested.
There may be the requirement to work different or extended hours, on a shift pattern or evenings and weekends with adequate notice in line with University policy.
