Sanctuary Personnel, an award-winning recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated PBS Practitioner to join our client’s Positive Behaviour Support Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for supporting individuals with learning disabilities to make a meaningful impact in a community-based setting.

Role Overview
As a PBS Practitioner, you’ll conduct assessments, create tailored intervention plans, and guide families and staff in implementing effective behavioural strategies. Your role is pivotal in enhancing the lives of children and adults with learning disabilities and promoting a positive, inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop behaviour support plans.
  • Design and implement interventions focusing on positive outcomes and skill development.
  • Collect and analyse data to monitor and adjust care plans effectively.
  • Provide training and guidance to families and staff on behavioural strategies.
  • Communicate effectively to foster partnerships, respecting individual needs and backgrounds.
  • Work closely with families and other professionals to ensure cohesive support.
  • Liaise with healthcare providers and community organisations.
  • Develop and deliver training in Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) to staff and external organisations.
  • Mentor staff and support their professional growth.
  • Stay current with best practices and contribute to service development.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records.
  • Contribute to team meetings and service reviews.
  • Support the development and auditing of policies and procedures.
  • Follow safety regulations and best practices for risk management.
  • Uphold confidentiality and comply with data protection laws.

Key Criteria

  • Registration with the UK-SBA and/or BACB.
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or Positive Behavioural Support.
  • Experience in working with children and adults with severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Driving licence and computer literacy (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Desirable:
    • Progressing towards BCBA Certification or UK-BA registration.
